What a mess...





TLDW - Some outrage group of women decided to harass Visa and MasterCard over video games they didn't deem acceptable. They got Steam to buckle over this. Now the internet is gunning for them. This is why having digital only currency is dangerous. They are meant to process payments but now they are telling people what they can and cannot buy.
 
Yeap. Pure bullshit. Glad people are fighting back. They are clogging up Visa and Mastercard's support lines and emails.

Also, censorship coming to a lot more places. Youtube going to roll out ID verification in the US. These companies have way too much power.

Xbox is going to do it as well. Age verifying everyone to access online gaming, messaging, and voice chat.

They suck at lying. Most people see right through this. It is never about protecting kids.

yeah, I hope more and more people fight back against this. It's not ok in the least bit.

Would any of those people have even played any of the games though?

Also, wonder how many just done this because they were following the herd of the rest of the Pink Haired Wildabeasts and Blue Haired Land Whales....

The group that started this are karens (middle aged women) and I suspect they are being funded by some big names to help try and push through censorship and control online. I have no proof of it though.

Some psychologists believe this feminine approach to power, control, etc. is a reflection of women who have nothing to put their maternal instincts into. So like it is coming from mostly women that either don't have children or are unfulfilled as mothers (so like aged out mothers, they have adult children now).

Whatever happened to "If you don't like it, don't watch it/buy it/play it"? That is the most impactful measure of the market. This is why "woke games" for lack of a better term failed so miserably. Most people that play games did not want to play those.

Totally believable. They have an emptiness in their lives, just like all activist groups to be honest... so they have to make other people as miserable as they are.

Also, I am sorry but I have a HARD time believing the UK government with any of this crap. Suddenly acting like this is about protecting kids from porn when they had CHILD SEX RINGS running for the last 2 decades (probably more) and had police and others turning blind eyes to it. Spare me.

American companies shouldn't be changing crap here in America to please some foreign government's rules.

Yeah do what those scam trappers do. Just waste their time with fake BS and then hit them with the censorship concerns 20 to 30 min in.
 
This BS might impact GTA 6 according to UKs laws, especially cause Rockstar is a British company... BUT Take-Two owns them, and is an American company and would probably sue them.
