It has been over 7 years since DBS concluded and the manga has since carried on, really great stories are just waiting to be animated but when will this happen?

I looked into it a bit more and it seems like there are legal troubles stalling it and Daima was mostly made to keep the franchise's animation side of things going through a legal loophole.

Akio Iyoku was given the keys to the mansion so to speak by Toriyama before he passed away. With his blessing, he made Capsule Corp. which is a separate company. This company was meant to handle all the digital media like the animation and the games. The OG company (Dragon Room) was meant to carry on with the manga. For whatever reason, Dragon Room and Capsule Corp are not coming to agreements over the animated series.

There is also an ongoing dispute is between Bandai Namco, Shueisha (Dragon Room parent company), and Akio iyoku. This stuff started before Toriyama had passed away and Toriyama was in agreement with Akio on most if not all things.

I think I understood all this correctly, correct me if I got something wrong but that seems to be the gist of it.

There was speculation that the DBS series would be announced a year after Daima concluded (sometime in February 2026) but this would imply they had already started working on it which doesn't seem to be the case. I don't know how long a series like this takes to animate but it is looking like we shouldn't expect anything anytime soon which sucks.

I wish it would hurry up. Cause Daima was nice, and I enjoyed it. But man, I wanna see what happens next in Super for sure.
It was like a nice in between and it seems like the speculations around it may be true, it just being something to keep the series moving forward while they figure something out. I hope they do soon. I don't want it to end here.

I feel like Toriyama’s death, Daima, and Toyotaro admitting he can’t succeed Toriyama all put a nail in the coffin of the Super Anime.

It is all legal disputes. In the end, if they want to keep making money (which I am sure they do) they will figure something out.
