Dragon Ball GT Why do you guys have such a issue with goku being deaged for a Show?

Like goku for one started of as a kid!

Second kid goku is always quiete cute!

Thirdly neither daima nor gt really reset goku they just weaken him a bit!

And fourthly it improves the story for example glorio being bigger then goku makes him work better and the ending of gt works better with kid goku

Fifthly it usually gets somewhat undone like 20 episodes in?

Like i Really dont see any reason to hate the deaging in Gts or daimas case! In fact both those shows progressed the story or fun stuff to the world!

Is Dragonball Time
Were a time manipulsting villain messes with the main characters:
Turning goku into a kid
Vegeta back into his evil self
lets say Beerus into a lil kitty who hasnt become god
Broly into a teen
ANd gohan into an old but cool dude
They obviously reverse it at the end!

Also I think the issue people have with Daima is it comes off quite contrived and a little pointless compared to GT. GT at least had the stakes of "The world is going to explode if we don't get the Black Star Dragon Balls back, and we have the added complication they're required to fix Goku". Daima was like "Everyone's a kid, I guess? Better fix it before everyone has to grow up again... I guess?"

I mean daima in general is pretty lowstakes! But the main issue they solve is more liberating the demon realm from gomah set up in episode 4 with the gendamarie taxing everyones life force!

Still pretty low stakes but its a mostly lighthearted show until the gomah fight!

I mean he did?
He became Ssj 4 and ergo whenever things got serious he was an adult the gt ending you all tout as awesome only works so well cause gokus a kid (at the very least the krillin section)
Also 90% of fighting post ssj 4 was done by ssj 4 goku anyways!

The only way goku turning adult in the baby saga wouldve worked was if he beat baby as a kid and then turns adult afterwards!

Because gt kid goku really feels incomplete if his last apperence is him getting kicked his as as ssj3 by baby

Like the reason why daimas worked is cause 1. The show was ending
2. Kid goku got to kick as ssj4 forcing the already op gomah to transform
3. We had this moment specifically tied to glorios redemption

I can hardly see adult gt goku working because not only does it make gt ssj 4 super bland (really without the size diffrence the only change is his kame hame ha turning red)
It also doesnt work at all in gts current framework!

Also as a comparision the reason why fierce deity works so well in majoras mask is cause link is a kid (or other race) for the entire so like ssj 4 contrast is the key word!

I ask you what would be improved by goku turning adult in the baby saga vs what would be worse?

Specifically in GT? My issue was more with the beginning of the series and the pace of it. I think how he became SS4 was great and didn't mind him being a kid so much once the pace picked up. I was more critical of them doing it again in Daima as I was waiting on DBS to return and was disappointed they announced that instead.

I watched GT before I went back and watched Dragon Ball. So kid Goku was new to me in GT.

But still
Gokus gi goes hard,
Pan and trunkses outfits are cool
Giru is cute
Baby, baby vegeta, super baby 2 and great ape baby are cool,
Super 17 is cool specially his hair tick,
Nouva, eis, oceanus and omega are cool
And yeah ssj 4 is cool (albeit overused by bandai namco)
I do think gohan and goten look bland tho!

I do not have an issue with it. In hindsight tho GT probably should have not done it and let Daima be the new Kid Goku series.

The problem I surmise is fans got use to Z with the insanely awesome transformations, fast pace combat, and Goku becoming a Saiyan god in sense of powe). GT does in Season 2 feel like a true successor to Z, returning to form, but in Season One it felt like Dragon Ball, as someone said, “Pan takes Bulma’s place, Goku is a kid, Trunks takes’ Krillin’s place.”

I personally love GT tried to be DB and Z, since at the time it was to be end of DB franchise. But I agree the first season is slow and has charm, but its hard to adjust to right after Z.

I was never bothered by Goku becoming a kid again. And at the time of GT that was a fresh idea. Diama just seemed like a GT knockoff only it wasn't as interesting as GT

Diama even directly took s major thing from GT. So I wholeheartedly agree.

If Goku has to be de-aged, they should also take away beam struggles, SSJ and make it more about exciting martial arts and strange techniques like DB. Get the Z elements back after he ages again.

Daima is disliked mostly because the villain was a stand-in for Pilaf, so as to not mess with GT, and the weird retcons for demon people and Boo made the dragon world seem much smaller and less weird.

I mean they have done a pilaf like villain before in garlic jr. Just like how every new villain has a perfect cell looking face!
I guess they do it cause making pilaf into a strong fighter doesnt make sense!

I do agree that goku should lose more abilitys for longer once deaged have him like be able to tap into ssj for like 5 seconds to fire a big kamehame ha!

I would also kinda like to have a deage goku show were he stays a kid until after the final villains defeat!

Also would be cool to bring yamcha, bulma and maybe even olong and puar back god i miss the arc 1 crew!
