Dragon Ball Super What if Goku really does end up being the ultimate villain?

If we look at the timeline of DBS, we will see that Goku is directly or indirectly the cause of all the issues that the people of earth and other universes had to struggle with. Beerus showed up looking for him and nearly wiped out the planet. In Future Trunk's timeline, Zamasu took Goku's body over to nearly wipe out the entire planet and force people underground. And as we all know, it was his grand idea to start the ToP which could have ended with everyone being destroyed had someone other than 17 won.

What are the odds of Dragon Ball Super ending with Goku being the ultimate villain? What if the entire series closes on Vegeta needing to take down Goku to save everyone else? We already saw how easy it was for Zamasu to take his body from him. I think it is an interesting concept to consider when they decide to finally end the series.

In the anime? He said he would have destroyed everything if the person who won didn't wish for what 17 did. Unless I am forgetting something. lol
 
It's like what Obi-Wan Kenobi said in Empire, "What I told you is true, from a certain point of view." Some folks will always be able to peg Goku and his actions as not the brightest or even down right dastardly, but I don't ever see it being Toriyama's intention for Goku to not be the hero.

That is a fair call but I am curious how everything will end because a lot of people are aware that Goku is at the root of many issues within the story. It is amazing that he is the hero and antagonist both at the same time.

I can see it developing to the point where someone gets a Legion of Doom or Sinister Six type organization together to come after him and his allies. Problem right now being Dragon Ball doesn't have those types of villains that would willingly work together. Only way I see it happening in the short term is if Freeza gets his brother Cooler to cooperate with him on taking him down.
