Video Games Pokemon Champions just shows how greedy Nintendo is

I think the idea/concept is great but the way they did it... absolutely terrible.

They did that idea 6 times already!
Stadium 0-2, colluseum, xd and battle revolution!
But the greed and incompetence is mostly a gamefreak thing most other nintendo games dont nickle and dime you (besides the baseline price increase!)

Nintendo owns the majority shares in Game Freak so they have the most say in everything they do. They would have had to sign off on this.

Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc all have control over the Pokemon IP. I would say almost evenly.

XD and Colosseum are actual RPGs. Battle Revolution is also the last game in the series and came out 20 years and 5 game generations ago.

Champions may be poorly executed, but let's not pretend the other games were, bad, not remembered fondly (outside of BR), and have been done recently.

This is how I feel in general about modern gaming. Back in the PS2 era, developers had to full develop a game because once hit shelves that was it. And back then 60 bucks got you an entire game, all the content was there day damn one! So they actually cared what they were doing.

Now they give you a demo for 80 bucks, and then sell you the content that was meant to be in the base game a little at a time to milk you like a cow. By the end of it you could have paid for a second console.

Again most nintendo games are finnished with dlc being easily ignorable!

Dk bananza, botw, mario kart world, totk and co. Were all pretty complete at launch!

In fact the ever popular mario kart 8 launched in a much worse state!
People just dont remember thar cause they started with a version that got like 80 dollars worth of dlc!

I never said the other games were bad?
Also battle revolution still looks the best!

Xd and colluseum are part of the general series of: load your mainline pokes onto the prettier homeconsole game and duke it out in huge stadiums series

Its just that yes they have campaigns (albeit shorter and more simple ones compared to mainline pokemon)

Seriously dont you ever try to act like i dont know pre gen 8 pokemon or (a lot of) nintendo in general im a pro!

I do think that Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2 are both a good deal superior to Colosseum, XD: Gale Of Darkness, and Battle Revolution to be fair.

I was just talking about modern gaming in general, not really taking a shot at Nintendo.

If Nintendo just let a couple of Pokémon games be remade for PS5, PC, Xbox they'd make money and kinda get a bit of praise.

Its their ip if they made it available on other plattforms they could lose a lot of money!
Them keeping their ips is definitly the smartthing to do!
And i mean its not like xbox and ps dont do the same!

Halo is coming to Playstation
Sony owns Dragon Ball and didn't the Switch get Sparking Zero so it isn't like Sony and Xbox hasn't shared ips before

Doesnt bandai namco own the dragonball license?
But Sony owns Crunchyroll which owns Funamation which owns Dragon Ball

Which is why a majority of Dragon Ball games were strictly Playstation. I think Dragon Ball Sagas was the beginning of sharing the rights, if I remember correctly

Also isn't like Nintendo won't get a cut from the sales, if they share the IP's.
I think a smarter idea for nintendo is selling like 80-160 dollar handhelds with some nintendo games loaded onto them

Specifically gba, ds and 64 stuff
Cause i think theres a lack of good "kids" consoles nowadays!

Like imagine a pokemon "gba" with fire red, leaf green and sapphire for like 100 bucks?

I do agree that there should be cheaper options then switch or a crusty nes, gb or snes collection!
Something atleast a bit morr modern!

Pokemon on steam would be cursed as heck!
