Its a grind mode not a fly arround freely mode! Kakarot and xenoverse 3 have that covered already!
Its cool we actually do have as many og db characters as in bt3 now just diffrent ones hope pilaf and co. Still come later!
Well yes, I'm not expecting a full free-roam, but they're clearly borrowing the idea from Budokai 3 which at least let you fly around the overworld. Selecting from a map is more boring by comparison.
I mean making a full map would be kinda a waste they should rather make stages and episode battle cutscenes!
Also did you know the 8 stages that are added?
Kamislookout (like bt 3 but destructible)
Kamehouse (like bt 3)
Bitter tundra (new ice stage)
Stratosphere earth (space with some astroids)
Stratosphere vegeta (like earth just on vegeta with a freeza ship no idea if its part of the stage?)
New vegeta (broly movie map)
Destroyed bitter tundra (lava planet namek earth edition)
And yes finnaly!
City ruins (clear sky kinda looks gt ish)

Yeah, flicked through it. Like... I'll still play it, but the hype for SZ as a whole for me has worn off.
Same thing with Videl, and Hercule with Buu.
Besides no one is gonna actually use Chi Chi, we are just going to use her as a practice dummy
The only time I did DP battles was Mission 100. I try to play with every character at least once. I'm sure we'll get some new custom battles where we will have to use chi-chi at some point.
To be honest I'm kinda hoping this dlc would be a free update for the Z Shop and the maps could be something to wish for on the Dragon Balls, we need incentives to continue playing

This game is not a live service like xenoverse!
I agree the shop and dragonballs should have new content tho i think making a couple of really expensive costumes would be a good idea!
Also i would play more dp battles if you rarwly play low dp characters on launch low dp chaeacters were actually the meta!
My general suggestion is hop on versus (piut the cpu to easy/medium) and then think of a matchup (be it canon or whatif) you wanna do
Like maybe you wanna fight tao as kid goku or krillin as chaozu and then do that doing stuff like that is my zen man
Also i suggest always equiping king kai,roshi and god trainning! To your enemy!
