As a 16-year-old, you can drive and work. You can vote as well as join the military at 18 but you can't drink, smoke, or own a gun until you are 21. And you have to be 21 to gamble I believe.

Like if you can join the military at 18, then you should be able to drink, smoke, and own a gun at 18 or they need to bump that up to 21 as well.

It makes more sense that you would have to be 21 to join the military, drink, and own a gun as well as vote because voting impacts the lives of everyone around you. The average 18-year-old doesn't have a wide enough worldview to understand politics much less join the army. Am I missing something here?

There needs to be a middle ground. I think you should be able to do all of those things once you turn 20 years old.

20 or 21 but it seems ridiculous that you can't own a gun, gamble, drink or smoke but you can be sent overseas to die for your country. Like wtf is that?

To be fair, I don't think young adults can wait long enough to do all of those things at 21 years old. So I think they should be able to do all of them at 20. Including driving and working.
