Movies Anyone see Mortal Kombat yet?

My sister saw it, and she's big into the originals, said it was essentially the same plot. The...not exactly legit videos of some of the scenes kind of bare that out, too. If it's different then awesome!
I mean...it's a movie based on a game about a fighting tournament...those elements are probably going to present lol.
We had like what...2 minutes of Scorpion and Sub-Zero in the first movie? Already beat that 24 minutes into the movie. This has some good character depth so far.
Fair point. Also, GOOD. The movie needed way more Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Ok. Just finished. I really liked it. Sets itself up nicely for a sequel, too.
Probably a 6 or 7 out of 10. The acting was good. The fight choreography was good. We had some character development. Scorpion and Sub-Zero played a big role in the story. It brought in characters I didn't think we'd see. They didn't skimp on special abilities like I felt they did in the first one. There was some fan service with the phrases, although a little corny, but I couldn't help but laugh a little.
I'd say if you take it for the type of movie it is, it's highly enjoyable.
I checked the rating on IMDb and they have it at 6.8 so you are right on the money with people it seems. I will probably give it a watch this weekend. Why not.

I watched it and I totally dug it. I went in just expecting good action scenes and violence, but I was surprised that the plot was workable. Let's see where it goes from here. Bring on my man, Johnny!
They need to say what they mean and it would make more sense. They don't want to make the movie "more diverse" they want to make it "less white". The franchise has always been diverse ffs.Get woke!!!!
