I was thinking back to Dragon Ball Z and how Shin (a Supreme Kai) was surpassed by Gohan, or so it was implied. Since then, all the main fighters appear to have become stronger than what was once considered a holy being. We have also seen this happen with Zamasu. Given that Whis is similar (being a holy being) but at a much higher ranking, I am wondering if it will happen again. Could Goku possibly surpass Whis? I know it was mentioned about taking on Vegeta to be the next God of Destruction which would imply they could get as strong as Beerus but nothing was ever clearly stated about Whis. Yes, Goku is just a Saiyan but he has proved time and time again, the sky is the limit with his power advancements.
