That's one part of it. The other part is, once a show goes on Netflix, people start talking about the show. Suits just had this recently. So much that a spin-off was greenlit.

The move is a marketing move, not necessarily a business move. Vince actually saw this coming and built WWE Network. Problem; the infrastructure was not there.

Vince had the correct mindset.
I forgot about the network, is that even still around?

I do actually think the Network is shutdown now everywhere. Most countries everything is moving to Netflix, where here in the US, just Raw is.

"On Jan. 25, 2021, WWE announced that NBCUniversal had the exclusive US distribution rights to WWE Network, meaning live shows would be streamed exclusively on Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service. The WWE Network has since been phased out in the United States. The deal with NBCUniversal is set to expire in 2026."

This is why I said "sort-of"

"Since then, the WWE Network has been the primary way to access WWE shows for a majority of countries outside the US. It is currently available for 186 of the 193 United Nations member states, including all 27 European Union nations.

The WWE Network is also available in two observer states and six non-UN countries."

It needs time to sunset Networks worldwide before "moving" to Netflix worldwide. It will play in that region, but people take time to learn stuff. Stuff, ya know...

One of the best discount/closeout stores is closing for good next year... greatest economy of our lifetime...

:dead:
My hometown had a Video Ezy, which is essentially a small-scale Australian Blockbuster. It lasted until about the time Blockbuster closed. Initially it still had some degree of rentals, and a lot of DVD and game sales. Then they started supplementing with Australian football merch. It's been getting smaller and smaller each year, but it's still there. Largely they sell a lot of cigarettes as their primary income, I think.

When I went back a few days ago for Christmas, we stopped in... it was so depressing. What was once a whole store full of VHS/DVDs/game rentals... it's now a tiny single tub that just has X Box and Playstation games, surrounded by a forest of clothes racks that just have football paraphernalia.

I know 3 months ago they were trying to stay opened but they couldn't make it work. They were going to close 30% of stores and it would not have helped.

I find myself missing my brother more and more too. It feels like as time passes it sinks in that he's not coming back, at least not in this life.
When it really hits me hardest, besides this last week or two with the holidays and his birthday, is when something crazy happens in DAIMA, and I can’t sit here and talk about it with him, or watch it with like I did with Super. I find myself wanting to grab my phone and text him like “holy fuck did you watch yet.” but I know I can’t. Just sucks.
