Welp. My wife (who is a teacher) drove my truck through a school zone a few weeks ago. Basically exceeded the posted speed limit during school hours. She is in my truck, which is registered to me, so I gets a speeding ticket mailed to me.

The next week, I drove her van and decided I'm going to return the favor. She was not amused when a ticket was mailed to the house in her name. In fact, she was pissed off.

Now I'm stuck paying 2 tickets :( .
She can't speed in her vehicle. Think of the scandal. It was the perfect crime!

Struggling with what phone to get... AGAIN.

I am looking at the Pixel 8 Pro or the Galaxy S24 FE right now. I mostly just care about the camera and battery life. I don't use my phone for much else outside of standard phone things (browsing web, calls, text). Also trying to find others in the price range with great cameras. I have the Galaxy S20 FE right now.

Either is good. I find it easier to stick with the Samsung environment.

I am looking at so many comparison videos. In certain aspects, the Pixel does great and better than the FE but in others, it doesn't seem to. And I have heard mixed things about their devices having issues with screen burns and stuff which I am paranoid about. I have been with Samsung for a long time, outside of the one Xiaomi I owned. I have had nothing but Galaxies since like 2011 I think other than that phone.

I was also considering getting a flagship one, the s24+ but that is still a bit too much in cost for me. I have basically $620 to spend.

What about the S24notplus?

I can get the s24 FE with 256GB for $607 or the Pixel 8 Pro for $620 with 128GB.

So like, the FE feels like a better deal but I am just not sure the camera would be better. Sometimes it seems like it is and other times not. I watched so many videos and can't decide. lol

Also I get the feature of using the phone like a desktop if I ever wanted to with the FE. The Pixel doesn't have that. They have the fancy AI editor stuff but I don't know if I wanna be sending my images to Google for that. lol

Pixel 8 Pro has a bigger battery and more RAM. Res is slightly higher (but that can also cancel out the bigger battery). Screen area is slightly bigger on the 24FE. Glass on Pixel is probably more drop-resistant. Pixel camera looks like it might be better (on paper).

Samsung Dex is sometimes handy, and does work fairly well. Latest Samsung phones also have AI features, so it depends who you trust more.

That said... you probably won't really notice a difference at the end of the day, especially coming from an older phone.

You mean I won't notice the difference between these two phones?

This is the only true camera comparison I could find. It includes Apple but just ignore that.
