It has to do with a lot of things but there has been affordable housing in many areas, just areas younger people don't want to settle on. And fewer people in their 20s are married than just 20 years ago which makes buying a house on a single income harder.

There's a lot of migration happening between states right now as well. The tax heavy, expensive, shit hole states are hemorrhaging people while the formerly more cost effective, cleaner, and safer ones are absorbing them which is driving up prices. There's consistent housing bidding wars going on right now where people pay 100k+ over asking. The bubble will burst and these folks will be sitting under water on their properties for a few years. It's a seller's market for sure.

I mean the house we wanted sold for 35k over the asking price and the asking price was already 20k over the market value. Unless you want to live in a shitty area or have 500k+ to burn on a house, you are going to be stuck trying to outbid banks, people in the state, and people from other states coming in. It sucks.

What would cause someone to move through several different states in only a few months with no stable income? I feel like someone in my family is sleeping with a married man and joining him on "business trips" or something.

What makes you suspect he or she is sleeping with a married man?

It does seem like it could be some kind of secret romance or something to that effect, but from a totally outside perspective it's hard to say.

Based on "dating patterns". Never had a boyfriend, always the side chick. Some how has enough money to travel without seemingly having a job.
