Aww, precious little buddy. I love when they're fascinated by the computer, it's hilarious! How's he been since you adopted him?
He is still learning. Still a bit scared of people but is okay with me and Jay now. He was wetting the bed. I am hoping that finally stopped. He hasn't done it in about a week. Been using feliway spray and pee pads on the bed just in case. I think he may have been missing his sister. It was just him and her. They don't know where the mother was. It was a hoarding situation so cats were just running loose in the house.

Good, I'm glad he's adjusting now, and yeah, agreed, hopefully no more wetting the bed! Sounds like he was in a horrible, horrible place before, glad he's got you and his new brothers now!

It has been a month today I think so considering that, I think they are doing good together. Some cats take several months to get to this point with new kittens/cats.

He did bring cooties into the house. I don't know what virus it is/was but been dealing with that which has been annoying. I am guess all the cats in the house were exposed.

I understand loving cats but I am just so sick of these hoarding things happening.

Oh absolutely, it took about a year for my two oldest cats to get along with one another, they just would not stop hissing at each other for so long, lol. But no, YOU WILL LOVE EACH OTHER, DAMNIT! :D

Aww, that's really unfortunate, but hopefully easily treated?

Same!! Some people should not have animals at all, but when it reaches the level of compulsive hoarding? You're hurting those animals you supposedly love! Total asshole move to do that. I'm in a position now where I've lost all of my kitties, I want to adopt one so badly, but I know I can't afford one. So I'm being a responsible adult and NOT adopting one. It's hard, I see clips of kittens on youtube, or friends talking about their fur babies and...yeah, it hurts, but I can't bring a kitty into my life to have it suffer because I'm ill equipped to care for it. The fact people can carry on acquiring animals over and over and over knowing they'll never be able to care for them, letting them get into such horrible conditions...I hate those people. I hate them. They're awful.

I suspect it is one of two viruses which are basically "wait and see" situations. Like just make sure they are comfortable while their body does the work. I got an immune boosting supplement they are all going to be taking for a few months. That should help. They both stopped eating back to back weeks, drooling, having oral issues so they got the oral end of the infection that Teddy had. He probably should have been kept another few weeks before being ready for adoption but not much we can do about that now!

I think some people just consider their own feelings and do impulse decisions with a lot of things. It is bad enough when they hurt themselves but when they end up hurting other people or animals, it is just not good. I don't think this kind of behavior can be corrected. Like with hoarders, be it hoarding objects or animals, it almost always stems from mental/emotional trauma and until they get proper help there the cycles continue. Fining them and throwing them in jail won't fix it.

I am just glad there are plenty of organizations dedicated to helping the animals that end up in these situations.

Aww, poor babies. Hopefully it buggers off quickly!

Absolutely agreed, it is definitely a deranged form of OCD, and it needs proper therapy and oversight to be managed. It's like an alcoholic, there's no just one beer. It's always just one more, then just one more, and so on. Hoarders are compulsive and they can destroy their own and others' lives with it. I agree, so glad organizations exist to help and combat this!

From what I have gathered, it can be a 3 week thing. They are at least mostly back to eating. Yuki had to go back on pain meds though. The sore in his mouth was bugging him again. It has been about 3 weeks for Fry but he is still drooling a bit and having issues with dry-heaving. Threw up yesterday. Yuki's got another week before the 3 week mark. I am going to start them on a oral drop formula that is meant to help oral health issues like sores, gingivitis, cavities, tarter build-up, etc. and hopefully that will help too. I got it last year and started using it and it was helping with the stinky breath but stopped cause that was when Brock got real sick from his heart.

I just hope by the end of the month they are both back to feeling good again. I don't want to have to take them into the vet cause I know that is stressful for them. Fry had to go to the ER and it was not cheap. We managed to get Yuki into a doctor but he was not very helpful and honestly kind of a dick. We couldn't get him in to his regular doctor for like a week though at the time.

Yeah, anything to help would be ideal, get them healed up and back to full health. Worst feeling in the world knowing the babies are sick ❤️

Ugh, why go into medicine just to be a complete dick about things? I know the staff usually handle the people and they usually hand the problems, but come on, a little courtesy isn't too much to ask. Vets...and they've got the nerve to charge an absolute fortune for the "privilege" of their company!

This guy was just not helpful either. I typed out a paper for Jay to bring so he can look over it and see all the concerns we have and he just tossed it to the side. I am glad I didn't go cause I would have probably told him to stop being a dick and he would have gotten pissed and would have told us to leave. Some doctors just take their misery at home to work and it shows.

Yeah, that's a dick move. I did that with my doctor and helped me a lot because I suck at talking face-to-face, I never get out the things I need to say, so my doctor got to see my real list of complaints and concerns. I think that's super helpful, and for him to dismiss it is just wrong! Maybe he's one of those vets that doesn't really like animals? Just a job?

Who knows. I can see why people complained about this place though. I am sure the other doctor is fine but this dude is just a dick.
