I saw it once a couple of years ago. His pen name was Toyble back then if my memory serves? Apparently it was good enough to get him noticed. Everyone has to start somewhere right?
It got some serious heat on the Neoseeker Dragon Ball Forum back in the day. A lot of people didn't like it there.
I think it came with a lot of stigma that he was ripping off what was assumed to be someone else's idea. Since that fanart of SSJ5 Goku which came from a Spanish magazine back in the late 90/early 2000's was labeled Dragon Ball AF. A lot of confusion about what was real and fake back then.
