I've seen some of all of these series so I'll rank 'em.
1. Edward Elric. The angry at short jokes bit gets tiresome pretty quick but besides that he's excellent. Super cool gimmick, a lot more emotional depth than anyone else on the list, in chapter one he says "Thanks for the eats" and I've said that ever since.
Two. Monkey D. Luffy. He's like Goku if Goku cared more about his friends & family than fighting. Luffy's rubber powers are the most fun to watch, and he has plenty of great moments.
III. Goku. I actually like that Goku cares about fighting more than his friends & family. It's what makes him interesting.
2+2. Izuku Midoriya. He's got the empathetic sacrificial core of a hero I love.
Cinco. Naruto. Some of his save Sasuke stuff annoys me in a way Deku's doesn't and I hate how his role in the story turned out, but early Naruto was more inspirational for a young Mustafar Reginald than any other fictional character I think.
Sex. Ichigo. Only read up to the Soul Society arc, but Ichigo's cool. Like that's he's not dumb and his relationship with Rukia is great.
Se7en. Inuyasha. Only seen random episodes. He's got dog ears and is defeated by a school girl saying "Sit boy", so that's at least two fetishes he checks off. He's okay.
∞. Natsu. Only read the first 75-ish chapters. Stock Shonen MC, but I'm a pryomaniac and Natsu plays with fire so he gets points for that.
India. Eren. Only seen the first two seasons. He's always felt more like a plot device than actual character to me.
