...a hacker in Florida has been thwarted from trying to contaminate the water supply of a town near Tampa Bay by compromising an employee's system and increasing the amount of lye in the water to attempt to make it poisonous. His efforts were thwarted before they could be completed and he was locked out of the system in question. An investigation is now underway.

Hackers broke into the computer system of a facility that treats water for about 15,000 people near Tampa, Florida and sought to add a dangerous level of additive to the water supply, the Pinellas County Sheriff said on Monday.

First up, a Florida Man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for cutting off his wife's lover's penis (yes, I read it wrong the first couple of times, as well). He did this with a pair of scissors. Ow. Ch. The 51 year old suspect learned of the affair and then went to the house of his wife's lover, who also happened to be his neighbor, where he forced the man into his bedroom, tied him up and proceeded to remove the man's hapenis, before running back to his own home with appendage in hand. Oh, but we're not done here! Florida Man Tony M. Streeter has been convicted on multiple felony counts including multiple drug offenses, firearm offenses and, to top it off, an attempted arson conviction for conspiring with his sister, Betty Joe Streeter and his Nephew, William Sims, to break into a police impound lot, steal hidden methamphetamine stashes and retrieve a stolen firearm and then light the vehicle on fire after the robbery. The attempt was in vain, as a firearm was retrieved from the burned wreckage of the car, and surveillance footage placed Mr. Streeter, his sister and his nephew at the scene of the arson. Ok, how about a 21 year old Florida Man arrested after showing up at his neighbor's house naked, being absolutely unresponsive when asked if he was ok, then proceeding to enter the back garden in order to jump naked on the family trampoline. When the female neighbor called police, the 21 year old suspect charged the back door and demanded entry. Here's a story out of Boston, but wouldn't you know it, it's about a 52 year old Florida Man arrested after stealing deposits and tuition from more than 360 different families across the US for enrollment into a sports camp that never existed. Mehdi Balhassan has been arrested and charged with two counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft for forging the signature of a college administrator to appear as though he had a contract with a local university that had never spoken with Belhassan.
