Future Sections

I have to say, I still think we're doing well where we are. More sections doesn't necessarily mean more activity, IMO
DBZF used to let you donate for your own sections before they switched to VBulletin. Is this something you might be interested in doing in the future?
No offense to DBZF intended, but that just sounds like a horrific idea. Donate a few bucks and you can get them to open up a forum for you? Maybe throw them a few and open up the Super Kami Guru's DBZA Appreciation and Lady Jiggle Forum, shall we? I don't know who at DBZF through that was a good idea, but that's a horrible way to generate revenue and plague the community with forums that'll go nowhere.
New sections need to be considered based on trending activity, and only implemented when they overrun a section of a forum to the point where it just makes sense to give it its' own forum. That's how the sensible forums I've been a part of do things, saves from overburdening the index with useless empty forums and keeps the forums that are there feeling far more active, rather than sparse and spread out.
I think you're right. I just see the donation button at the top of the forum and I was thinking that there could be rewards for donating to the forum, much like DBZF had.
I agree there could easily be rewards implemented for people who donate, but adding forums is not a particularly great one. It would have be something practical, like a donator's badge, a special section on the members' page, or something along those lines...
Maybe we could give LividJay a reward for donating, LOL.
Agreed, there should at least be an acknowledgement trophy for donating
The donations go toward updates, new plugins, etc. We could probably add a trophy for donating.
