Of course there are problems, and I doubt he'd disagree. But there are many people who just nope out because they think it's easier and the whole "do what's best for you" mantra amplifies it.

I also saw comments to the effect of "the kids are too young to know any different". People tell plenty of lies to themselves to justify leaving a spouse.
After watching the video... I mean I thought how he was in his videos was playing up a character but that is him irl. And honestly, he seems like a narcissistic asshole. Like he has a need to control every aspect of her life because he doesn't trust her but he flips it on her saying she does it to him. I dated a guy like this. Everything was always my fault. Even things that were outside of my control that upset him, those were my fault too. He blamed me for my trouble with anxiety. Knowing I am terrified inside cars, he sped on the road one time and gave me a massive panic attack and then blamed me for him being angry and doing it.

Side note, maybe this does speak to his character over why he wouldn't partner with the Daily Wire when they offered him a lucrative contract. Narcissism.

Will wholeheartedly agree, he very likely is narcissistic. I think a lot of these types usually are.

@Beerus - I very much feel for your situation, and there are some guys who really need to be brutally beaten by every other male in their immediate vicinity. And if Steven is what's portrayed here, I'll gladly add your ex to my international trip of kicking deadbeat asses.

To speak from my own experience, some of what I'm seeing come out, especially the amplification of her side/her truth and his own sincerity in the cold open, does sort of resonate a little with how I felt as a DV victim. Don't get me wrong, any guy that abuses a woman needs to be crucified, but it is understandably really hard for a guy to admit that his marriage has fallen apart, and if she did anything to him it's even harder to admit that. I think a lot of guys really feel - regardless of what happened - an ultimate failure that their marriage fell apart, and take it pretty hard (of course there are a-holes who will gladly just throw it all away for another fling).

Given what happened with Heard/Depp - and how this information is coming out - I'd much rather wait for more things to come to light than pick a side. This all seems wayyyyyyyyyyyy too convenient and coordinated to be the whole truth.

And in all honesty, I think we'd all look pretty bad if the worst few minutes of our worst arguments with our SOs were ever recorded and put on the internet for all to see. My fiancée and I got into a really bad one a few days after being engaged that snippets would probably make both of us look super bad. And most of that argument stemmed from how her parents were treating her about the whole thing and that I didn't talk to them (exactly because of the way they ended up responding to us in the first place).

And just to be 100% clear: if it does come out he was abusing her and this isn't just a super awful argument with more context, I am 100000% on board with kicking his ass and smashing a mug on his head.

From my experiences dealing with narcissists, having dated one and having one as a mother... He fits the bill.

I won't tell other people to throw him to the dogs just yet, but I know my support is ending here. If I am wrong, I am wrong but there are way too many signs at this point for me.

I respect that. And at this point, he really has no choice but to address it and say his side. I honestly don't blame anyone for coming against him with how this looks.

I honestly think the only way he's really going to come out of this is if he addresses every single allegation from 2017 through to now. The whole SvenComputer/NotGayJared thing, Owen Benjamin, Dave Landau, this.

He is likely going to lose some of his supporters but even if he just pretends everything is fine and nothing is happening, I think he will keep enough support to keep him going. A lot of people blindly follow internet celebrities which is unfortunate. I followed him on Twitter and watched his stuff now and then but I have unfollowed and will just carry on.

There are a lot of shitty people in the world so to find out he is one of them, it would not surprise me at this point. I love comedy and all but most comedians have issues. The only shocking thing about any of this is the fact that he is Canadian and hasn't apologized yet. lol

That's pretty much what I reckon. But he does pretty sincere that he probably will address it. Like the only reason he addressed it in the first place was because Hilary's family was spreading information of the divorce online. I have a feeling that's who he was talking about when mentioning the extortion - it's entirely possible he also knew that clip was around.

The guy was otherwise 100% willing to just keep this quiet so as to not impact his family. If he knew the clip was around, he knew that mentioning it publicly would have escalated to that being released. And like he's got kids: regardless of who's right and wrong, this whole thing is now on the internet forever. They're going to find this one day, regardless of who's right and wrong.

None of this sits right with me, and the fact that many of his employees (especially Gerald) are still supporting him makes me think that there is wayyyyyyy more to this.

But again, if he's guilty: 100% should get his ass kicked.

100%. I'd love to research why that is. Like if people are naturally more comedic if they have chemical imbalances or what.

He always maintains he's American and disavows any of his Canadianism. I have a feeling he was actually born in America.

Yeah there is a lot happening here for sure and I am sure the truth will come out eventually. He may as well be honest as he can without giving too much information to put the kids or his ex wife at risk.

And yeah, he was born in America. I checked lol He just grew up in Canada.

If he it turns out he is abusive, then he can run for President.

Yeah that is probably why. And genetics play a role. I look young for 35. I can pass for 25 on a good day lol

I thought more about everything since seeing the footage and I have a feeling there was fighting and this video may have been used in court to hurt Crowder... So his lawyer told him to release it publicly so it can't be used against him. I think in certain states, if stuff like this is made public, it can't be used in civil court against another person. I could be wrong though.

Either way, it is not a good look and I hope they sort this mess out privately for the sake of the kids, no matter who is in the wrong here.

It was released by a journalist, right after the show had ended that day. I'm pretty certain it was released as an attack.

If Steven did it, he probably would have done it on his show at he could at least tell his side. I imagine there's going to be a loooonggggggg explanation on Monday.

I know when it was released, I mean that if he did do it - he would have had someone else leak it, not him.

Just a speculation. I don't know anything about his wife. For all we know, she is a controlling narcissist too.

Oh, I get you. It seems like a weird way to do it though; he seems like someone who wants to be able to keep ahead of this stuff.

In all honesty, I'm thinking more and more they both might just be terrible people who need help.

On a side note, him mocking downs kids over that downs barbie really put a bad taste in my mouth with him.
I need to re-watch that bit, because I don't remember it; just people bringing it up. I'm wondering if it was meant to be an edgy joke that went the wrong way. He spent a number of years working with special needs people* and people with Downs.

*as in actual special needs people. Not people at Fox.

This is probably the best take I've seen from anyone, but especially every conservative Christian throwing out their 2 cents on Twitter:
- "I'm friends with his father." <- (I actually have skin in this game)
- "Steven's sins are obvious and indefensible" <- (Condemning the bad stuff)
- "if you took a secret video of my worst moments when arguing with my wife, I wouldn't come out well in anyone's eyes." <- (Admitting that everyone has their super low moments, followed by an example)
- "Steven, you should repent to our common savior Jesus" <- (call to repentence! We need more of these :) )
- "Outside of that, this is none of my business and I'm rooting for the restitution of your marriage." <- (Following up with "none of my business" but a call for restoration rather than total destruction)_
- "At the end of time when all of our sins (and Google search history) are revealed, no man will stand before God confident to judge another man based on his own good works or amazing holiness. I'm a product of the grace and forgiveness others have shown me, not of justice and perfection." (<- the gospel message to bring it home)

This is why I would never call to cancel him or tell people not to support him. Due to my personal experiences, it feels dirty supporting him until the whole truth is out there. I have to go based on what I have seen with him and in other people. It isn't fair to him in some regards, but I was not a huge supporter or a paid supporter of his to begin with nor am I a personal friend of his so he has never done anything to earn my trust on theta level anyways. He has done a lot of good for America and in general so I won't dismiss that but the dude needs help. They probably both do. And I hope they get it.
