Again, China is choosing to end operations completely in the US because the government told them the app is being removed from the mobile stores. Had they done nothing, the app could still be downloaded on their website and installed and would still function as normal but China is being petty.
it would’ve eventually stopped working when it had to be updated. Which who knows when that would be. But as long as the ban stays in place, it would’ve came to this at some point anyway. Might as well do it now.
You'd just have to get the update through the website instead of the app store.
Either way Trump is going to likely delay it by 90 days on Monday. The dude that owns it or something in China is going to be at his inauguration.

The truth is, if they could buy stock in it and make money from it like they do Meta, they wouldn’t care about banning it. That’s why they wanna strong arm them into selling it to someone they know will make it so it’s publicly traded. Because they could make alot of money off it, a lot.
I’m sure I’ll get called an idiot for thinking that, but it is what it is. I’m not gonna be one of those people who revolt against the government and try to fight them, that’s ridiculous. But come on, if they cared so much about our safety? Why do kids still get shot up in school without them doing anything about it? Why won’t they do something to fix the healthcare system? They are WAY more important issues than a damn phone app. But when something is out of their control, and they can’t profit off it, they don’t want it around. Simple as that. I saw a video from a 102 year old war veteran, upset because something he used to connect with people from all over was going away.
Speaking of Veterans, they deserve way better than the BS they have happen to them. The amount of homeless Vets out there is ridiculous. They fight for this great country, and when they come home a lot of them are treated like shit. Fix those damn issues before banning a damn phone app. I don’t think and hope none of you can argue that fact, that we have way bigger damn issues.

It isn't just money, it is an international security risk and it should have been banned years ago and never allowed to set up a US headquarters without divesting. The reason it wasn't is because they wanted to use it as leverage politically for votes like they do with everything else.
Well I’m glad to know the big bad phone app showed they can work together on something. Now fix the actual important problems and issues in this country.

Do YOU even read any of what I’ve said? I’ve SAID, kids shouldn’t be on social media, so all these questions about KIDS are useless to be asking me. Like honestly read that, understand that, and stop bringing that shit up. I said no one should be on any ANY social media platform until 15. Cause yeah they shouldn’t be learning that stuff at that age, yes. But they learn that shit every fucking where, we can’t ban life. Like I get we got to keep the kids safe, that’s why I’m mad about other shit that isn’t being done.
But since they are on the others, and the others are just as harmful with shit, and not a single damn one of those are being targeted, that shows that they don’t give a fuck about any of these. Unless bullying is fine by you, because kids get bullied on those all the time.
If our kids are SOOOOO important to the fucking government, why aren’t they doing shit to try and stop school shootings? All we get then are thoughts and prayers. Is that fine?
I think the best approach to this is to make an American alternative to it and I hope someone does.
