Though I do find it hilarious when morons like Beto pour way more into their campaigns and get owned by Ted Cruz.

Well, that's good. I know people were getting worried about this.
The US should not be a welfare country to nations that have free healthcare when we don't even have that. Largely, Canada is able to have free healthcare because of all the discounts and money we give/invest into the country (and yes, they do tax the crap out of their citizens too). They don't have to worry about putting billions into their military either cause if someone did something to them, we'd be up there in a second and the world knows it.
I am all for helping people in other nations but America needs to help itself first. We have so many domestic problems it is insane.
Yeah it is a mess. Basic care should be provided at the very least and full care for children. But so much needs to be fixed to allow for any of this to be possible.
Canada's free health care is ass. That's why so many of their citizens cross over to use the US's private healthcare system. Yeah, it's too damn expensive, but it's still better.
Anyway, anyone who thinks free healthcare is good has never had to deal with the military healthcare system. Hurry up and wait in this line to get your shot, or to get 2 Ibuprofen pills.
The majority of my stuff is "free" now. However, I paid for it years ago. The VA is a huge pain in the ass to deal with.

The only way free healthcare can work is if most people are living healthy lives. Which... is not the case. As of right now 73% of the country is overweight or obese.
We can't have and sort of free healthcare when people are putting little to no effort into making healthy choices for themselves.
