Google engineer believes company's AI has become sentient, gets put on administrative leave

A Google engineer has been put on paid administrative leave following his claims that the company's LaMDA AI model has become sentient and wants to be acknowledged as a person with consent rights.

I am not sure how to feel about this because so many movies have shown what would come of such creations.
They are fictional but many fictional movies and novels have come to pass in one way or another.

Honestly the only way im seeing AI robots work is by making them Small and lovable
1. They cant harm us if they are Tiny!
2. They dont want to harm us if they are loved!
3. We really dont need extra Workforce!
