So I guess GTA Online is going to stay the same? I am having a hard time understanding this. Like it will remain separate and you will just be shifted to the new map? I hope that if this is the case, they have everyone start over again otherwise people that stacked money and levels will just ruin the game for anyone starting fresh or wanting to.
I don't even know what they're gonna do with GTA Online. I think the way it works via GTA5 Online is primitive now. Especially how you "interact" with others. The moment I tried to play GTA5 Online, I was very turned off - controls felt different from GTA5, gameplay felt different from GTA5, interaction felt off, it encourages stealing, in fact ...it PROMOTES it.
GTA5 Online felt like a mini-GTA5, if that makes any sense. No, GTA6 Online NEEDS to use the same engine as the full $60/$70 game.
I like the puesedo-realistic nature of GTA5 Online, gameplay was poor. My opinion.
I am hoping they have both online games be separate cause most players will migrate to GTA 6's online anyways. They can't just shut it down right away tho cause people will be spending money still on it. Unless they give people a 6 month warning that it will be getting shut down.
That's what they gonna do. The thing is, I expect longer. Because "don't fix what ain't broke" mantra. GTA5 Online is gonna stay online for a year or so after release of GTA6/GTA6 Online.
If they see a drop in players in GTA5 Online, they pull the plug. It costs money to host this stuff.
We don't even know which consoles GTA6 is gonna be on, too... that's the other factor.
Not everyone has PS5/Series consoles, or online connections required.
Oh right. I mean I am assuming the size of the demand of the game will require newer consoles. So I can't see it being on PS4/Xbox One like at all.
