Anyways, I have always rooted for the villains minus Frezia because he killed the Sayain which included Bardock. The main reason is that to quote Marylin Manson." In any story, the villain is the catalyst. The hero's not a person who will bend the rules or show the cracks in his armor. He's one-dimensional intentionally, but the villain is the person who owns up to what he is and stands by it." As well in many movies and books and so on the villain always has a plan and an idea while the hero doesn't. The hero does good to simply do good.
