Is Destructo disk the most OP attack?

In an interview, Toriyama said that Destructo disk can cut through anything or anyone. If this is the case then it easily could have beaten characters like Frieza, cell, even beerus. If so, do you think it has just been forgotten about, or never used to its full potential?

I would imagine this is the case outside of countering defense attacks like the one that Android 17 uses. You can't really deflect it without a defensive ki move so dodging it is the only option outside of that.

Base Goku cut through Super Boo with Gotenks absorbed with just the Kienzan (or Destructo Disk), although Boo couldn't prepare himself against the attack and defend himself.

Certainly worked to cut Freiza down to size...so...maybe? If it's a surprise it certainly works, but prepped, no, fighters could defend against it.

This might be my lack of knowledge but I don't think anyone has been able to reflect it. Its easy to dodge, but lets say someone was cocky and tried to just take it head-on, wouldn't it cut through them? it seems like vegeta new this when he told nappa to dodge the disk when he was about to try and reflect it.

Fair point, we haven't really seen anyone take it head on to this point. Theoretically, yeah, unless they had a way to deflect it, they'd likely be cut in half....

This actually makes krillin useful for once... handing out sensu beans doesn't count when you have goku gibing them away. Imagine if they actually made some co-ordinated attacks with goku and krillin. The duo back together again would be something I would LOVE to see.

I agree with this, Krillin being useful would be a fantastic thing for the series. Not super strong, but with a devastating attack. Would be neat.

Damn, my memory must be really shot, because I totally forgot that happened. So Krillin would need a pretty hefty power up to make himself and his attack worthwhile again. Shame.

Could have been a Japanese interview which is why you are having trouble finding it. Not sure. I have never read/heard the interview either.

Yeah, it's a very OP technique. Kuririn was assigned a 75k battle power by the V-Jump and 2nd form Freeza had a battle power of over 1,000,000... and yet he saw the need to dodge every Kienzan spammed by Kuririn, which makes me wonder why he never tried to blind Freeza temporarily with the Taiyo-ken and then throw more Kienzan (since Freeza can't sense chi), but whatever.

I also believe it'd essentialy cut through anything. I don't believe there's a limit. Tenshinhan's Shin Kikoho also comes to mind as a very OP technique, given the fact it affected fricking Semi Perfect Cell when Tenshinhan was, like... below the base Saiyajins?

Krillin was definitely in the 100,000s in the late Freeza Arc. Vegeta thought that he and Gohan would be of use against third suppression form Freeza.

But yeah, it's quite sad to think about. Krillin and Tenshinhan both have very OP techniques that actually allow them to keep up with the Saiyans and Piccolo, but Yamcha has... Wolffanghameha.
