I have watched both. It all depends on how much you want to be invested in the Dragon Ball franchise. I would recommend watching Kai if you want to be a bigger Dragon Ball fan. I would ignore the Boo Saga in Kai however. Kai is much faster paced and easier to sit through than Dragon Ball Z and it reflects the Manga better because it has less filler. It also has a much better dub because it's a lot more accurate to the Japanese Anime and also the Manga. The animation quality is up to interpretation between the original and Kai. I think they both have advantages over the other in that regard. The Boo Saga Kai is even better than the first Kai and the Original Z Anime, but the pacing is almost as bad as the Boo Saga is in the Original Z. The Boo Saga dub in Z is also better than the rest of Z anyway, so it doesn't even have a big edge over it in that regard either. So yeah. Considering you administrate a DBZ forum on XenForo, I would strongly suggest you get into Kai. Like I said though, ignore the Boo Saga, but that's also up to you.
