I am watching this now. I remember how OBSESSED he was with Shrek 5, I know it was for the memes but still
The 90s and the 2000s were both the golden age of entertainment after all.
Lion King is one of the finest animated movies that has ever been made.
Second only to Pokémon 2000 which is the best movie of anything that has ever been made.
I think part of the thing is making movies actually required a lot more effort and careful consideration to make, and was more limited to people trusted to do certain roles.
Now adays any multi-million dollar company can just throw CGI at it and see what sticks, and if the lead actress hates it for whatever reason, she can use her own resources to make her own cut and remove her co-star whose project it was in the first place.
I can't tell you how many times I saw Lion King as a kid, I watched it like 3 times at the movies, but I wore the fuck out of the VHS I had.
I was obsessed with Lion King so much so my bedroom had a Lion King theme lol
I don't know if I do. I mean if I did, my mom would have them and who the heck knows where they'd be.
I was looking up pictures trying to find some of the stuff and realized I also had Pocahontas and Winnie the Pooh themed stuff. I had Barney as my first set and I think Lion King was my second. Then Pocahontas and then Winnie the Pooh. My mom had to always get all the matching curtains and stuff. I think she enjoyed making up my bedroom more than I did lol
