Might watch a few episodes tonight. I saw people complaining about Khan's voice actor changing. Toby Huss previously did his voice as well as Joe Jack, Cotton, and the high school coach among other minor characters. He will be doing Dale's voice this time around.

I just finished them.

I personally enjoyed it. It definitely will take time to get use to Khan's voice and everything, but he really was only in like one episode. I'll give everyone a chance to watch it, before going to into detail on my thoughts.

I saw the first episode. I am... cautiously optimistic.

The character/backdrop sharpness contrast makes it feel like something like Archer.

It is the same as the new Beavis and Butthead. It will grow on you.
So far it's S13 level. It's not bad, and there are some great jokes... but it's not like their mid-season great stuff.

Kind of reminds me when Family Guy went to digital animation. That still looks wrong to me.

It is going to look off. It is coming back after years. I think Judge is still solid so I am hoping for some good episodes.

We watched the first one and I liked it. Got me to laugh a few times.

Seeing Bobby have a hookup was weird though but the butt dialing Peggy was funny. Also laughed at her botching another language and Hank needing to calm down by buying a wrench lol

We are going to watch one more in a few.

Okay I am enjoying it. I am sold. Glad they are making more episodes.
Johnny Hardwick's voice makes me sad, knowing that he was probably very sick while recording. The strain shows.

Hmm... imdb credits Toby Huss in all the episodes, and Johnny as 1-2, 5-7. I guess maybe there are lines that were recorded across those but Toby had to do extra unrecorded lines?

Either way, the voice is... not quite right.

So that was his voice in the first few episodes? I thought it was the other guy's voice cause it sounded different. That is sad. Geeze.

I still have to watch the last episode but a few thoughts:
- These are, fortunately, decent quality, but watching so close to the previous run does feel like whiplash

- The swearing and increased crassness? Is that really necessary? It feels like when a boy becomes a teenager and then tries to be offensive on purpose.

- The voice recasts... I don't care for them, but they are what they are.

- Some of the story threads I don't care for. In particular
the implication that Nancy and Redcorn started up again

I look forward to the next batch, regardless

Not reading the spoiler yet but this could be because Mike Judge is working on Beavis and Butt-head at the same time and if you never watched that, I am not sure how to explain it. lol but the crassness/swearing could be bleeding over. Although that show wasn't known for swearing, mostly just potty humor.

Could be that he just wants it to be more adult since the people that grew up enjoying it are adults now. Not sure.

Cussing never really bothered me, I find it kinda funny, and some of it I seen people come up with an easy explanation.

Like with Peggy, he didn't really ever curse because she was a substitute teacher, so she tried to not really speak like that. Being retired now, she's just letting loose more.

Then the kids are grown up now, so they wouldn't have cussed really when kids but now they do like anyone who grows up.
