But of course! Can't have a wife earning her own money with a job! That's crazy speak! Even if the robot maid does everything around the house and practically raises the kids, who else is going to shop and make sarcastic comments?
Not all women should feel obligated to work if the man they marry wants to support them but making it a stereotype was a bit much. Even less likely for the future. Seems like most people graduating college these days are women. lol
Yeah, but I think Jetsons was pre-ERA, wasn't it? So, the housewife stereotype was pretty much just how things were back then, so...I guess they figured that's just how life was going to be forever. Man goes to work for overbearing midget, wife stays home to make babies and shop, but this time with flying cars! Now that's social progress!
Pretty true, these days it's gotta' be more than 50% women in most graduating classes these days, I know that was the case for my graduating class a few years back, and that was even before the whole getting women into programming movement that happened. I'm sure if they made PhD's for porn, though, there'd be a 99% graduation rate for men...
