I still see a lot of states telling people to avoid close contact or restricting them from large social gatherings but given that the weather is nice (here it is anyway) I can't see people listening. Most people want to get outdoors, cook some food, and be around friends and family today. I'm sure there will be stuff in the news about people not being cautious and more people getting sick because of it. Same old same old. When I was younger, I never really gave Memorial Day much thought but my Grandpa served in WW2. He sacrificed his life and later his health for this country. I think a lot of people look at today as a reason to overeat and get drunk, others don't want to celebrate the day at all... But I think for anyone who has family who served or is currently serving in the military, navy, airforce, etc. know this day is about them. While my family doesn't gather like they used to (not since my grandpa and nana passed away), we still have a small gathering for the holiday. I'm going to spend time outside and enjoy some grilled BBQ chicken cause 'Merica, that's why! USA! USA! USA! I hope you all have a good holiday.
