An Army Black Hawk helicopter collided midair with an American Airlines jet on Wednesday evening at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan National Airport around 9 p.m. local time.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News' Sean Hannity that President Donald Trump is aware of the situation, calling the situation tragic.

PSA was operating as Flight 5342 for American Airlines, and it departed from Wichita, Kansas.

Just because we have a new president doesn't mean the renement of D.E.I. isn't there. No way you have an accident like that and not think he wasn't trained correctly. Either side.

Thing is... CAN you fucking see an airplane?? I don't think the pilot in the airplane can necessarily see the helicopter, but I don’t know if this is a BIG airplane or a commercial airplane (private) but like if you are a pilot you'd know how to menuver your helicopter if you see a airplane. And moreover, knowing how to communicate your helicopter with a airplane. Especially a military vehicle.

All I'm saying is this smells like an officer from the Biden administration who probably doesn't know "everything." He knows how to fly surface level menuvering, but not acting like a veteran. Like veterans of planes or helicopters don't usually put themselves at that kind of risk.

The guy in the helicopter should have been able to see the plane. He was far enough away and it was a clear night. No one thought to radio to him to ya know, MOVE either which makes it seem like this was the result of people being in positions where they were vastly underqualified.

Exactly what I'm trying to say.

I'm not saying they don't know how to use the helicopter or airplane, I'm saying the person should've known better, or be better trained. And to be fair it was night time, BUT... BUT... there are lights around planes and/or helicopters. Just no excuse IMHO. I dunno. I bet my money on poorly trained pilot than any of these "oops."

And I'm not an expert of planes or helicopter, I am just looking at events leading up here.

We have a weak military. We have weak workforce. We have weak leadership. I feel like this is just going to continue until all these DEI programs are scrapped or purged from companies and institutions.

Maybe I'm wrong, but something seems off here. There's no way... a trained officer makes a stupid menuver and goes "oops."

Especially if that means that officer died. At that point, the mistake(s) has already been made and nobody will know unless the black box is released.

I feel like the military pilot ignored the order to "land." I heard that and I'm like... "See! Untrained and disobeying orders." The controller was not trained either.

The military air controller sounds untrained for the job. I don't know all these initials, and jargon. But I hear that and I am not confident with the controller.

Get creative, improvise! God!
 
Apparently they had night vision goggles on which makes it harder to see if you are by a bunch of lights, like oh say, an airport...

The male pilot that also died in the crash let the control center know he sees the plane and it will be avoided, he had over 1,000 hours experience. So wtf happened?

There were three people on the helicopter and the one flying it was a woman with 500 hours experience. I under 500 hours is considered beginner but 500+ is moderate. I am wondering now if they are lying about this and she only had a few hundred hours cause they cut everything in half for women in fields dominated by men.

The helicopter doesn't appear to even attempt to avoid the plane when it would be in clear view. It makes it look more like a drone than a plane since it is heading right for it like a targeted attack. That seems strange to me but I am sure there is some sort of explanation.

Doing "training" in a heavily populated area like this around an airport is just retarded. Wearing night vision goggles while doing it is even more retarded.

So either this was all down to absolute incompetence or it was intentional.

Occam's razor...

well something else that happened recently, and I want to say this isn’t me saying it’s what it is, it’s me offering another explanation, cause it could be what you said, but let’s remember, Trump just fired people who’s responsible for aviation safety in the first few days he was in office. Maybe actually day 1. Again, that’s just me giving another explanation of what could’ve happened. It might not even be either of these things as well. I’m not sure if we will ever know.

We won't know the truth cause it makes too many people look bad no matter who is really at fault.

I would like to think "helicopter military training" at a crowded airport at night shouldn't even be a thing. Maybe they will stop after this. It isn't the first time this issue came up. I think people have been talking about it being a high risk at this airport since the '90s.

It takes time for Military to "fire" (purge) these losers. I didn't and I don't expect anything to come from Trump's pen, IMMEDIATELY. It really does take time to percolate, either that or this is a Democrat stronghold, which is why the lax attitude...? (Video above.)

Oh yeah, they will definitely make sure the truth isn’t known. Just up to speculation, and mostly everyone is going to have the opinion of it being blamed on whoever they want to place the blame on.

But yeah, it shouldn’t be a thing. Night time doesn’t seem like an easy time to be flying in all honestly as it is.
