Emperor Pilaf Pro ~ Fun episodic adventures of Dragon Ball collecting. Con ~ It's over before it begins, too short. 21st Budokai Tenkaichi Pro ~ Goku vs. Jackie Chun is the first great fight in the series, strong comedy throughout. Con ~ Weakest of the tournaments. Red Ribbon Army Pro ~ General Blue is the best villain in OG Dragon Ball, & one of the most entertaining period. A lot of good adventure here. Con ~ Arc really peaks with Blue's middle portion, and Blue's story isn't wrapped up all that good. 22nd Budokai Tenkaichi Pro ~ Best tournament, great mix of comedy fights and dramatic battles. Con ~ Goku vs. Pamput was kind of lame. King Piccolo Pro ~ The final fight between Goku & King Piccolo is excellent, with perhaps the most iconic finishing blow in manga history. Con ~ It's too narrowly focused on Goku. Lacks the charm of the earlier Dragon Ball arcs yet doesn't do the action-orientated story-telling as good as Z does. 23rd Budokai Tenkaichi Pro ~ Final fight between Goku & Piccolo is excellent, the sense of resolution at the end is one of the strongest in the series. Con ~ Only having one comedy bout helped signify the series transition to action, but the balance of the 22nd made for a more memorable experience. Saiyan Pro ~ Goku vs. Vegeta fight is excellent, the amount of teamwork required to defeat Vegeta makes this fight truly special. Con ~ Raditz is wasted potential. Namek Pro ~ The beginning bits with Gohan/Krillin vs. Vegeta vs. Frieza's Army is the peak of Dragon Ball imo. Best plotting in the series by far. Con ~ The second half where it just becomes fighting loses my interest, though Goku vs. Frieza is excellent. Androids/Cell Pro ~ Best arc for characters. I do think it's Vegeta's weakest character arc compared to Namek or Buu BUT, no arc spreads the love as much as Androids/Cell does with Gohan, Future Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Bulma, Vegeta, and of course Goku all getting moments. Con ~ Plotting is rather loosey-goosey with the constantly changing antagonists. Buu Pro ~ Strongest thematic work in Dragon Ball, Vegeta and Hercules especially have some great content. Con ~ Gohan is wasted, the Super Buu fight drags and is poorly plotted, that whole Super Buu portion of the arc kind of sucks outside of Candy Vegito.
