It is nuts that it is basically a year and a half old and is still $500. I think they came out $699* new but still. With how phones come out these days. I watched a lot of videos on it though and for the money, I am getting a flagship/pro camera for half the cost. I need it for better cat videos and pictures!!! LOL

Oh I didn't even say the main reason I got the new phone. The Xiaomi can't connect to version towers with our new service so I was stuck with t-mobile and where we live, the service is terrible.
Ah, well that really sucks! I've noticed a lot of phones that aren't even that old are having issues with all of the new changes to the networks. Really silly! One of my friends doesn't have money to buy a new phone, but hers has stopped working entirely on her network because it's an older 3G/4G phone. So she can use WiFi for Signal and internet, but she can't call or text! Insane!
Yeah, we had to switch providers entirely because I was without service for a month. This was back in February when the 3G towers were getting canned. It messed up a lot of people's services.
A lot of places offer monthly deals these days so that is something she can look into if she wants. You pay full cost for the phone but you only pay like $30 a month instead of buying it outright.
Yeah, she's saving up to try and afford a budget phone, they're really tight financially, so not really in a position to add a monthly fee, otherwise I'd definitely suggest that!
Things sure do suck right now with the economy so that can't be helping.
Yeah, prices are just stupid, it's really making everyone struggle. They're barely affording to live, let alone the increased cost of gas and utilities.
