This is one of those subjects I really hate seeing on a discussion board. It's filled with pitfalls and always turns into a controversy or argument.
In the interest of keeping it civil and not starting arguments, I will answer that I am an atheist and have been since I was relatively young. I don't hate religion, I don't hate religious people, I'm just content with my worldview as it stands now. I'm not going to espouse those views, because again that can only lead to arguments. Suffice it to say that standard religious beliefs are not a part of my life.

Yeah, it's a controversial subject. Which is why I hesitated to bring up the topic until now. I don't even mind if Beerus or Jay will close this thread as well.

I don't view what I believe as a religion but more of a way of life. The word religion has a lot of bondage on it that just isn't good. I'm a Christian and for what it is worth, my husband was an atheist when we first became friends. This topic does get a bit heated though, I have seen it multiple times so unless someone asks me a question personally, I tend to just avoid it.
I think the handful of us on here are civil enough to keep it open though. It helps to better understand each other.

I'm glad I was raised Catholic and instilled with Judeo-Christian morals, but as I got older it gave me perspective on the evils of the world. For example how priests commit sexual acts with little kids even though they're supposed to be celibate. So now I view institutional religion as something I don't really care for in life, but it's guiding principles are a good baseline for life. Just be kind to other people and if someone tries to hurt you then smite them!
Born a Baptist then became a Atheists due realizing the corruption of religion and the falsehoods of it, but with that said I don't mind religion or religious people just as long as it doesn't interfere with everyone's life or is pushed onto people i.e. if you believe Jesus was the son of god then that is fine by me, but when you want to instill that into society and make society base on your religion then I have a problem with it.
I recently came to the conclusion that I believe in my lord and savior Jesus Christ, but I don't believe in everything written in The Bible. So while I'm no longer an atheist or an agnostic, I just believe in Jesus and historically proven events to an extent like the flood (although not the Noah's Ark story).
It's all or nothing when it comes to the Bible IMO.
I don't get stating you believe whilst rejecting parts of the book.
I'm an Atheist and that's pretty much it. I live by the idea that it doesn't make sense for me to believe in something if I don't have enough proof. I have an Orthodox upbringing though and this is the main shizz around here. That said, I hate the Church. More and more young people tend to do that nowadays. It's brainwashed lots of people especially oldies, and the effects that it has on our society are simply outrageous.
It is also not easy to declare my Atheism around here because people either won't believe I'm serious or they'll give me the eyes, so I try to mind my own business and never bring up religion. People be like "yOu MuSt BeLieVe iN sOmeTHiNg". Trust me I try not to mind them.
