Yeah...I am gonna be real here the reason why Shonen Manga an Animes tend to have a lot retcons is because a lot of the writers just make it up as they go as for Toriyama. He is infamous for being lazy and a procrastinator, and as such he will pull what I like to call a "J.K. Rowling" or in other words "I originally had it the way I wanted, but I changed mind so now this is cannon, lol"
As far as the video goes, Bardock is the one I knew of, no surprise there I know, and in my own head cannon I consider the original special, Minus, and the new Broly movie to be true since they all follow one another in a way.

Pretty interesting. I didn't catch the one about Majin Buu being conjured. Everything I remember was him being created by Babidi.
I've always disliked how often Trunks' hair would change color.
It was so obvious as soon as DBZ started that Goku's backstory was retconned. And to add to that, so was Piccolo and Kami's as they were initially supposed to be like "God" and "Satan".

Also, I could be wrong, but wasn't it the way Trunks got his sword retconed a couple of times as well?
Yeah, it gets confusing, too, due to what would be considered canon and non-canon.
I like the movie 13 explanation that Tapion gave him the sword, but then it makes no sense because that is the DBZ movie timeline present Trunks and not hellish post-apocalyptic future Trunks timeline. I just like Tapion......
I feel like the potara thing should have stayed as it was. Permanent fusion. It makes using it more of an impact. Like sure, you get super strong but at what cost? Now it is just all willy nilly, let's pop on these marbles and become OP for an hour.

You mean Link was Tapion rip-off because movie 13 came out in 1995 and Ocarina of Time in 1998.
