The reboot of the medical comedy "Scrubs" has been given a straight-to-series order at ABC, with original stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke returning for the 2025-2026 season.

Cast Return: Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke will reprise their roles as J.D., Turk, and Elliot, respectively, and will also serve as executive producers for the reboot.

Synopsis: The reboot will follow J.D. and Turk as they reunite at Sacred Heart Hospital, navigating modern medical challenges while maintaining their legendary friendship.

Creator Involvement: The original creator, Bill Lawrence, will executive produce the reboot, expressing his excitement about reuniting the cast and crew.

Release Date: While an official premiere date has not been announced, the reboot is expected to debut during ABC's 2025-2026 season.

Not sure how I feel about that since the later episodes of the first run weren't to my liking. Loved when it started though and Sarah Chalke is bae.

This is either going to be very good or very bad.gif

Also at minimum Neil Flynn and John C. McGinley have to return or this whole thing won't be worth watching. Especially since Ken Jenkins is in his 80s (and already canonically retired in like season 7) and Sam Lloyd is dead.

Just need Neil Flynn to commit and this whole thing will come together

I still don't think this will be any good.
It could go either way. I feel like the ending of the series (read: not the fake Season 9) was an indication that JD was meant to be growing up and stop being a manchild, so the options are to either lean into that or ignore it. Since it'll be much later, he and Turk are going to be very much established parents so should be more mature. Will they be?

Part of the charm of the show was Turk and JD being absolute dunces together though. I can't imagine moving away from this will be good for ratings but I could be wrong. I am just not getting any hopes up. Going to pretend it isn't even happening until I see the ratings. If they are good, I will watch. If not, this reboot never happened. lol

Is it just me or does Zach Braff look... off? Like I know he is 50 now but it looks like he had work done or something. His eyes seem different.
