Anyone else here watching the series?

We started it tonight and the first episode is a banger. Neither one of us played the game so we don't know what to expect.
 
My brother has played the video game. He calls it one of the best games of all time.
 
Watched the second episode. Did they actually get it right? I feel like this may end up being the best live action series/move based on a video game.

I know the second game tanked. I am prepared to enjoy season 1 and pretend season 2 does not exist. lol
 
So far every episode has been good. I have not played the game though so I may be enjoying it more than someone who has. Not sure.
 
I think overall the show was good. I did not play the game but I did look into some of the grievances of people that did and the biggest two complaints were mismanaging time and lack of mushroom zombies. I mean, considering the world is meant to be infected, the seldom encountered them which did seem odd and there were two episodes, that while I think were well written, didn't really add anything to the story and sort of wasted time when they had so much more they seemingly could have shown... like more mushroom zombies.

I already know the main part of the second one that is going to piss people off and likely cause a lot of people to not even bother watching. I am not sure if I will bother with it or not yet. Overall though, I enjoyed this first season and for what it is worth, I think they did a good job.
