The Official Pro Wrestling Thread

I just realized I stopped watching wrestling after Wrestlemania 30 when Undertaker's streak ended. I remember being pissed lol I know it wasn't long after Punk left and he left that January. So I stopped paying attention to it I think for a good year and a half, had no clue what was going on. Then kind of came and went with knowing what was happening only because I was on that wrestling forum still. Stopped paying attention entirely again when it was sold and I made this place.

Leave it to Cena turning heal making me pay attention again. Although we (me and Jay) watched the last few Wrestlemanias.

I love that AEW is giving me Toni vs Athena. Two of my favorite women in wrestling. Loved them both in WWE, but hated how they were booked so horribly. Athena is someone who I would be 100% fine with beating Toni. Surely since I'm sure she's going to be dropping the ROH Women's Championship soon. The next ROH PPV she hits 1000 days as champion, perfect time to drop it and move on to winning the AEW Women's World Championship.

So, TNA is just WWE/NXT's bitch.

Loses the TNA Knockouts title to an NXT Talent (Jacy Jayne) and fails to win the world title back from Trick lol. Dumb dumb dumb.

I'm not going to talk badly about the dead. But I'm not gonna act like this one makes me upset. That's all I'll leave it all.

Really no celebrity death makes me "sad" cause I don't know these people on a personal level. It is more of a shock because of the legacy and the name.

When they make me sad, it's because I was a fan, I admired their work, and thought they were a good person. Not sad on the same level of family or friends.

I suppose. For me it is more so like I said, a bit of a shock when I first hear it and then looking back at what they did and how they impacted the world. I was never a fan of Ozzy and the dude did terrible things but it is I guess sad in a sense to see people that have legacies pass because it feels like that part of history is ending. Same for Hogan. I always have sympathy for the family members though cause it is hard losing someone you love. Even if I don't know any of these people personally, I know how hard that can be.

I see a lot of people praising him and others shitting on him and celebrating his death, which is mostly down to him supporting Trump of all things. Like ffs, these people need to grow up. Him supporting Trump is far from the worst things he has done. lol It is so cringe when I see this anymore. I don't care what side you are on, celebrating someone's death over some politician they supported is just ignorant to me. It just reminds of off all the back and forth during covid. People celebrating each others deaths like some kind of sport. So gross.

I saw something about him accepting Christ into his life a few months back and if true, praise God but it is no secret the man had demons and was far from perfect. I think acknowledging he put wrestling on the mainstream map and his work in doing so should be honored. Dude paved the way for a lot of greats.

Also this song still slaps.

I can promise you, it has nothing to do with Trump. People hated this man before that for all the racist shit he said, for a lot of the bullshit he did backstage to hold others down. Wrestling would have a union now if not for him. Him supporting Trump was just the tip of the iceberg. Even without that, I promise you the same people shitting on him, still would be.

Undertaker supported Trump, but people will be sad over him dying.

A lot of wrestlers do, yeah. I know what you are saying but I am specifically talking about the people that are posting things like "Good, rest in piss MAGAot". I will be fair in that a lot of this stuff is probably coming from people that didn't watch wrestling to begin with or actual bots. I just am over seeing this crap, outside of it having to do with Hogan or not.

I thought you mean wrestling fans. Non fans yeah they probably are for that reason.

Like I'm going to be honest, a lot of the stuff he done over the years, the lies he told, the people's careers he hurt with those lies, the racist bullshit he spewed, being a snitch when wrestlers were trying to unionize, derailing people's pushes, among many other things I can name is why I ain't like ahh this sucks. I thank him for putting wrestling on the map, but thats about it. Thats how a lot of fans of wrestling feel. The Non fans yeah the MAGA thing is all they care about. Its low on my list.

I just learned about the unionized thing. I knew about the sex tape scandal and I knew of the thing about Brooke dating a black man but completely forgot about it. I am sure he had done worse than all that even still. lol

I can understand not liking him for various reasons and not saying people should suddenly forgive him because he passed away. I just don't like seeing people celebrating death like this for any reason. Like the "oh no, anyway" thing to me is whatever but actually celebrating it is a different story.
