So basically, with them charging MORE for 6 year old hardware and still planning a 2027 release for the PS6... The new console is likely going to cost over $1k

And the new Xbox? It is going to be more powerful than the PS6 so it will be even MORE expensive.



Seems like the gaming industry is in a very bad place.

Since Xenoverse 3 and Sparking Zero are on the PS5, I don't think that I'll upgrade to the PS6 anytime soon.

Also with all the games being made for the modern audience, I'm not convinced to just shell out thousands of dollars for a new console.

To be fair they told gamers to get used to not owning anything, so it looks like gamers are going to take the advice and start with not owning these new consoles

Yeah I won't be getting one. Moving back to PC gaming after this. Xbox Series S will be my last console.

FF7 Revelation and Kingdom Hearts 4 for me.

I literally only got the PS5 for Rebirth (the day it was announced), KH4 and Spider-Man 2. I'm glad to not have to do it again with PS6.

I only got a PS5 for Sparking Zero. I pre-ordered Sparking Zero and then the next month after I saved up a bit, I bought my PS5. And I agree, glad I won't have to do it again.

I think it is needed. Valve did enter the market. The Steam Deck and Steam Machine show there is demand for it.
