I am seeing stories of football fans spitting on little girls for supporting different teams, groups of fans without tickets storming in stadiums, trash and drunkenness everywhere, some topless woman got her tit sucked on by a stranger in a public space, people getting into fights and breaking stuff....

I asked Jay why they acted like this and he said "They are football fans"... This is something I was not aware of until just now. I may not care about football (soccer lol) but I hope Italy wins.

I don't believe it to be a national truth, no, but are there idiots that get worked up over a win or a loss and take it out on their partner? I wouldn't doubt it, same as every other country. Even America, we've all seen those videos of NFL fans screaming and yelling at everyone because their team lost a big game. I know it's fun to pick on England fans at the moment because of the idiots among the masses, but it's not exclusive to England by any stretch.

I think you hear of spousal abuse more with NFL players than the fans though. I guess it is just shocking to me because I have never been that into sports. I mean I cried a little when the Cavs won the finals but that was more about being happy for all the fans.

There's a slight different within football culture, admittedly, fans LIVE for their clubs, but most fans keep that in context. We can be upset for a week after a big loss, but we're not going to take it out on those around us, we're just going to be grumpy bastards. There are, sadly, those in all walks of life who go too far, and yes, those people are horrible and should be thrown out of the galaxy immediately.
