There was 16 years between the end of GT and beginning of Super

I just realized this. 16 years. That is crazy. GT ended in 1997 and Super began in 2013.

Super ended in 2018 and while we haven't gotten more of the manga based story, we still had two movies and a mini series since then.

Outside of movies being dubbed in the 00's, was there really no new Dragon Ball animation from 1997 up until 2013!?

Okay so not including Kai and regardless of it, it was a 5 year break from animation. That is not so bad.

I remember how big Dragon Ball still was during the 2000s. I think it was the right time to bring the franchise back in the 2010s.
