I understand that companies want to protect their content. I understand that companies don't want people making money off their work.
What I don't understand is copyright striking a huge fan of your company's work (that spreads their passion and fandom, further promoting your products) and claiming their hard work as your own content. I am not sure what the hell happened here but if this is how Toei Animation is going to treat their fans, they will lose a lot of them.
Several YouTubers have stood up for Totally Not Mark because they see how wrong this is. This just puts a bad taste in my mouth.
What are your thoughts on this?
