Trans people are going to end up more hated if this continues...

Apparently, there are lesbian dating apps that are filled with biological males who are getting lesbian women banned for only liking women (females).

I am not on Twitter so I can't verify this but wtf??

00.png

No offense to trans people but if you join a straight dating app, a gay dating app, or a lesbian dating app and get people banned for not being interested in you, you are an asshole.

You can't help who you are attracted to. This reminds me of this trans person who was calling all straight men who didn't date them (trans-women) transphobic... Like, hello! You are not only making 0 effort to transition (nor plan on it) yet demand straight men to be into you having a penis and not boobs? Even for those who do transition, it is, in most cases, VERY HARD to appeal to straight people. Hormones, scents, skin texture, curves, muscle mass, etc. all play a role. I do feel bad for people who go through this because your dating options are very limited but you can't expect people just to ignore their own biology because you are either choosing to or can't help but do so.

And I am sorry, but when I look at these pictures, I see men, not women and I am sure lesbians feel the same. Not being transphobic or anything, I can't help what I see when it comes to people being male or female. Most people know this and feel this way but don't say it because they don't want to be mean, rude, or hurtful but when you are being just that to other people, maybe you need to be told the truth?

I can't imagine what it is like to go through something like this and not feel accepted (I truly do feel bad for people dealing with all this) but these kinds of hateful trans groups people are making on social and dating apps need to stop. It is not only upsetting gay and lesbian people but it is making people as a whole become more hateful towards trans people in general. The only time I ever care whether or not a person is trans is when it comes to crap like this. Using a "trans card" to get your way like a spoiled child while hurting women be it in private bathrooms and lockerrooms, sports, or dating apps is just wrong.

Also, this seems to be an issue with male-born women, not female-born men.

This whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way so I wanted to vent about it.

I have to say that I don't think most of these people are genuinely trans. I'm sure some are, but my guess is that the vast majority are not legitimately trans people. I know a few trans people, and in all honesty, I know they suffer from depression a lot because of the rejection they face, but a good deal of them find love within the trans community itself with other trans people. Whether they find a male-to-female or female-to-male partner, a lot of the times trans people find what they're looking for within the trans community itself. So to me it seems like a lot of these are simply not legit trans people and are in fact guys taking up a banner for the sake of trolling or harassing people.

As far as trying to pass themselves off as women and trying to get people attracted to them as women when they don't transition or have barely started to transition, yeah, there's no way someone attracted to women is going to fall for a mtf person that either doesn't pass as female or isn't trying to pass as female. Whether you're a lesbian or a straight man, we're interested in women and women have certain things in certain places and men do not...if you've not got those things, particularly if packing something else in one of those places...I'm not into that. I could understand if you were a full transitioned trans person who passed and had the things where they should be, yes, you could potentially find someone looking for a female partner who found you attractive, but if you're at the stage where still appear masculine...that's not going to tickle the fancy of many people who are looking for women. So for those people to go and get others banned from apps because hey don't want a masculine looking trans woman, that's not transphobia, that's simply people responding to their own biological likes and dislikes. You can't make someone change what they're into in a person just because you dress differently and put on some makeup, transitioning implies attempting to become the opposite gender and that likewise implies having the attributes that go with that.

To those people that are doing this -- fuck off. You're ruining life for real trans people who struggle enough without being associated with this nonsense.

Part of me feels like guys are using the trans label as an excuse to be perverted and not in the "haha, you pervert" way like on this forum but genuine sickos. Like that Jessica asshole I told you about in Canada pretending to have periods and forcing a female spa to wax his balls.

Agreed, but at least that one went through with it and had the little outie turned innie so as to now be unable to sexually assault those young girls they were so desperate to be intimately involved with. That was most definitely not a legitimate trans person...well...still isn't. Still does complain about their 'periods,' though. Just an excuse to eat chocolate and not acknowledge the fact that there is likely a serious bowel or intestinal issue needing looked at. Especially at the frequency that such posts kept coming up about being on said period. It was damn near every 9 days or so at one point...ridiculous.

Yeah, those sorts of pervs != us sort of pervs. We're not here looking to harass or assault women while claiming to be them, we're here to oggle at anime tiddies make lewd comments...it's different :D.

That Jessica is a terror of this area. I think I saw that he called 9-11 recently because he got stuck in the tub.

He is only getting away with it because people want to protect actual trans people. It sucks but I think eventually these kinds of people will be weeded out.
Agreed, it's the double-edged sword of trans laws. It's meant to protect the people actually suffering and dealing with an actual problem with actual consequences, not things like this, where it's just a perverted psychopath trying to find ways to push a set of false ideals on people and play the victim. Real trans people don't act anything like this lunatic and it's an absolute shame that they're being thrown in with this sort of thing.

Social media seems to paint negative pictures of people when it comes to identity groups. If we can get back to judging people by the context of their character that would be nice. Trans or not, you don't treat people like shit and abuse people.

Agreed, and I hate that people judge peoples' choices based on how it could potentially impact them, as though every trans person they meet is going to want to hop into bed with them, or every trans person is just a rapist in disguise looking to prey on young women in the bathroom. Read the accounts of actual trans people just looking to take a piss and see how much abuse they get just for stepping into a bathroom, even the ones who still use male bathrooms to make women feel more comfortable, and it just makes you feel so bad for those trans women. It's a place to relieve yourself, not a setting for a shitty porno. Are there faux trans women who would take advantage of being able to use the womens' facilities and try to take advantage of women? Of course there are! Are they your average trans person, in the midst of transition? No, and you can typically see what type of person the predatory 'woman' is before you open that door, so if you're that worried about a trans person using the bathroom, wait until they're finished and go in after! The abuse the legitimate trans people take on the back of stereotypes brought about by the fake ones is insane, and that's beyond the normal transphobia they also experience.

My issue in terms of bathrooms comes down to women feeling comfortable not forcing trans women to be uncomfortable because they are predators. I know some people do feel this way which I don't entirely understand but my issue is coming from a female perspective, not a hateful one. If a trans woman has not fully transitioned, it can be pretty uncomfortable for women and girls. When you bring lockerrooms into the mix, it is even worse. I think having an in-between would be ideal. Having changing rooms, locker rooms, and bathrooms for people who are not yet transitioned that are private and safe for them. Or just having a stand-alone option for anyone where only one person can occupy the space at a time. I know there are workarounds that allow both women and those transitioning to find security and comfort, we just haven't reached a solution yet. Maybe if schools, businesses, gyms, restaurants, and so on were funded to add extra space, it would be done. Larger businesses can certainly afford it so maybe the government spends some money on supporting smaller businesses to accommodate these changes. They certainly can spare the money. They get paid too much for doing too little as it is.

I can understand and appreciate that, for sure, and I agree there has to be some sort of middle ground that makes sense. It would be nice if there were a trans bathroom, or a single use bathroom and locker room so those in transition can be safe and women can feel safe, as well. I don't want to be invasive into a trans woman's life, but there is actually a point at which they are medically incapable of using what they've got, if they've still got it, so I suppose technically that needs to be a factor, as well (not much of a threat if it doesn't do anything), but I absolutely 100% understand that if a trans woman is going to be using the female facilities, it would be best if they had fully transitioned prior to doing so. Where is the middle ground that makes sense for everyone and isn't overly invasive into the trans womens' status? I'm not sure, but maybe it is as simple as just having a dedicated trans bathroom, trans locker room (though even there it would have to be two, one for mtf and one for ftm) and so on until they have finished the transition process, because we can't go poking around in trans womens' underwear to see where they stand in the transition process, nor can we leave women feeling unsafe...so...yeah...tough situation...but we can't have legitimately transitioning trans women using the mens room, that's asking for sexual assaults to take place, for sure.

Hopefully, something is done, at least in areas where there are a lot of trans people. I don't expect anything to be done or change overnight but making sure all people feel comfortable is important.

Absolutely, it's a somewhat complex issue so the solution is probably going to be some overly complicated, over elaborate compromise, but hopefully it works to the benefit of everyone and doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable.
