News Trump Signs Covid Relief Bill, $600 aid to all, not $2,000

Signed it about 2 hours ago, pretty much did nothing to change the bill, at all. Just delayed signing it for whatever reason...

I'm not sure there was much else that could be done. The GOP seemed to have been the blocking party and if he didn't sign, there would be nothing for whoever knows how long, not to mention a government shutdown.
Agreed, it never seemed like anything was going to end up changing, it just makes the delay more puzzling. Glad it's signed, though, overall.

They can always do more later. It's always a scary time when it comes to government shutdowns. It not only affects public servants, but all the contractors and military folks, too. No funding = no money to pay hard working people in those areas.

Such bullshit. They should be focused on helping Americans first. That bill is lined with crap. Oh well, just goes to show the US government doesn't give a shit about us.

Vetoing the bill would have done nothing because it had veto proof majorities in both chambers so he delayed to see if they would amend it to increase the funds. No reason to force a gov't shutdown that only leaves me f*ckin' unpaid and scrambling to pay my own housing out of pocket because there is no back up plan in place after two shutdowns in recent years to fund overseas housing in lieu of a shutdown. I LOVE the gov't, seriously, I do, with all my heart.

Now let's see what the DemoRATs come up with since their "guy" is taking office.
