They kind of split them two down different paths already but we only got to see Goku reach his next level in the anime. Knowing Vegeta has his time to shine coming up is exciting. I just wish they would get on with getting the anime out. They have a lot of story to go through!
He's still growing as a character which is great! They keep Goku on his flat character arc so he never "grows" as a person, he's still always the same Goku just a stronger than before. Two diametrically opposite personalities fighting for the same thing. When you take deep dives like this it feels rewarding knowing that they're actually not f*cking things up!
I know a lot of people felt like they did Vegeta dirty in Super but they did what they did to show contrast in his growth. I think resetting him to a position of being domesticated made his growing points more fulfilling. I still don't know the whole scope of the story, I am just going to wait on the anime like a lazy weeb but I am sure Vegeta's transformation was glorious.He's still growing as a character which is great! It's not over yet because Vegeta just saved the day in the latest chapter by giving Granolah a senzu bean so he could fight Gas at full power. He understands that Granolah needs to take his revenge against the Heeters for killing his mother and orchestrating the genocide of his people. He's grown to the point where he knows when to be ruthless and egotistical during battle, but cool headed and analytical when the situation calls for it.
