It's a clear case of excessive use of force and his civil rights were violated under the 4th. They should be and most likely will be fired, rightly so. Nothing a little patience and verbal judo couldn't solve from the get-go.
The state I live in? Considering how blue we have become, I'm sure the state is embarrassed. I believe this is close to Richmond, too, which has become very progressive.

I miss the good old days where voters acted like politicians. They would argue and debate and then shake hands after and move on. No one is ever going to agree on the same exact things and that is okay so long as everyone has the same mindset of making this country better for everyone. Sadly... People are just too selfish and too divided these days to care.
