What is going on with food places?

I noticed more and more negative reviews at places that used to be good. It seems like everywhere you go, they are either understaffed and careless or they are staffed with nothing but teens who don't know how to cook anything. All the places that used to have higher ratings on Google around here like 4.2+ have dropped to 3s and 2s and the amount of complaints dealing with filth, undercooked food, etc. is disturbing.

Have you noticed this where you live? Like has the service and quality dropped and the price gone up? It is getting to the point where eating out isn't more convenient, just more expensive and disappointing.

Yeah Prices did go up! But i mean they are climbing up everywhere!

Yeah, service has dropped for sure, usually because the staff are overworked, don't care or are just there for a paycheck these days. Quality people make quality food, if you're just hiring whoever turns up...quality suffers!

I remember back in the day, you would get a messed up order maybe once every 10 times and the food was mostly good but now? Seems like you get messed up or sloppy orders 88 times out of 10 and they want you paying more for it. Going to try to find small local spots and replace the chains. Not even worth going to them anymore.

Oh absolutely!! The local places are always better, though also usually a little more expensive. The difference in quality is night and day, though!

At this point, they probably aren't much more expensive. It seems like me and Jay are spending close to the same amount.

Agreed, the gap has definitely closed, which is both a sign of the times and a good thing. Quality food being near the same price is good...now if it was just a lower price!

My local pizza places have increased the prices, or at the very least removed some good deals, but the quality of the food hasn't diminished.
