I have no idea why this showed up in my recommended list, but...yeah...
Still such a good song. Kids these days don't know what real music is.Yass!

Agreed, today's music is...ugh.Still such a good song. Kids these days don't know what real music is.
heh, I used to do the same thing, and now I listen to a lot of the same prog rock and classic rock that they listened to...And just like that, I sound like my mom when I used to tell her to turn down her "oldies"![]()
I think we got to a point where music is just boring so even the stuff I used to hate that my mom grew up on sounds a million times better. Everything these days sounds the same and not in a good way. Gosh I sound like an old fart. Reminds me of South Park...heh, I used to do the same thing, and now I listen to a lot of the same prog rock and classic rock that they listened to![]()

I think there are more younger people, teens and early 20's, who actually appreciate music from the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's more because of how limited the industry has become.I have to agree. There comes a point where what's "cool" just isn't all that good anymore, and tastes evolve to appreciate the things that we didn't appreciate back then because they weren't "cool," so...what's old is new again, and voila, a whole new land of music to rediscover! I still love what I liked when I was younger, but adding to it with older stuff and select, less-mainstream music of today makes for a tolerable library.
Here we go. The recommendations are changing!
... I loved the Spice Girls....Oh geez...still hate her. She was everywhere for so long, and my sister just would not stop playing her music...I was so happy when I finally learned to drive and got my own car and could listen to my own music on the road. Driving with her was torture, TLC, Spice Girls, Dido, Missy Elliot, Nelly Furtado, etc...everything every teen girl was into, everything I was not.
Agreed, and poke around YT shows a lot of people "reacting" to older and more varied music, which is great. Music back then and from our teens was (up until about...mid-2000s...ish...) good. Younger people should definitely be giving it a try! What passes for music today is just not worth the listen.I think there are more younger people, teens and early 20's, who actually appreciate music from the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's more because of how limited the industry has become.
I know the damn movie word for word because of the torture I had to endure growing up as the younger sibling in a house full of women who didn't understand just how horrifically emasculating having this knowledge could become.... I loved the Spice Girls....
TELL ME WHAT WHAT YOU REALLY REALLY WANT!
Maybe that is what is happening. Because of YouTube, they are hearing music from other decades and different genres.Agreed, and poke around YT shows a lot of people "reacting" to older and more varied music, which is great.
