Thanksgiving is this week as well as Black Friday.
Got anything planned with the family? Doing any shopping?
Just think of the food. I mean, if you like the food that is. I know it is a bit different from British food. My husband's second Thanksgiving in America is happening this year. He is not really much of a fan either. lolAvoiding the roads, mostly. British and stuck in America means enduring Thanksgiving without actually celebrating it.
It's essentially the same sort of food that we eat for Christmas dinner, more or less, so I've always just waited for Christmas and enjoyed those sorts of foods then. Today's a bit of a fast food sort of day for me, so greasy food and video games. Not an entirely bad way to spend a day.Just think of the food. I mean, if you like the food that is. True, plenty to be done and plenty to enjoy!Enjoy the excess and have a few drinks. Watch the Lions and the Bears duke it out like a couple of special needs kids. Hell, free day off to binge watch your favorite movies or series. Always something to be thankful for!
Ah yeah I can see why you wouldn't care much about it. My family does pasta on Christmas. Part of an Italian tradition. Thanksgiving is the one day out of the year where I eat candied yams and turkey. I have mashed potatoes, stuffing, and corn other times throughout the year. It's essentially the same sort of food that we eat for Christmas dinner, more or less, so I've always just waited for Christmas and enjoyed those sorts of foods then.
