Dragon Ball Super wrapped up on March 25th of last year. What do you think will happen next? Will we see Dragon Ball Super continue or will we get a whole new series that takes place after it? There were rumors going around about a new season kicking off this July but Toei has since denied that as fact. I guess time will tell.

(The dubs are still running as new in America, so please mind the spoilers.)

I'd like either a spin off or a refresh, IMO. It's well seen that Goku is the hero, he gets all of the new levels and powers and fanciful battles with all of the exciting new villains, but what if we move beyond that time line, or into one of the other parts of the other realities. New heroes, fewer powers, new adventures, but the same universe. I'd like them to leave Goku, Vegeta, etc. at this point. The more they push the "god" powers, the Super Saiyan Blue, the destroyer wants this, Whis wants that, now here's another tournament thing...it's just so deviated from Dragon Ball. Leave those characters alone now, let's just let them be. Give us Dragon Ball: The Next Generation or something like that. Less flash, more substance.

...but in reality, I'm guessing we'll see another Goku-centric DB Super REDUX coming soon...

Goku is engraved so deeply into the show that it wouldn't feel the same without him. I wouldn't mind them doing a spin off if they also continue to work on Goku's side of the universe. Something that would be cool is to just make a new anime and have the two merge at the end. Like have two different stories taking place and the characters ultimately meet and battle. Like a mash-up that no one saw coming.

That's true, Goku basically is DB, so to move forward without him would be very difficult. Even the Goku Jr. movie, A Hero's Legacy, still had Goku making an appearance. I just think it would be nice if, perhaps, Goku was a background character in a spin off sort of show. Or why not go full on and make the Goku Jr. anime. It's like a reboot, essentially, and Goku can make background appearances here or there (I know in GT Goku was dead when Goku Jr was on his adventure, and Pan was elderly, but since GT is essentially non-cannon now, Goku Jr. could just be a thing, and Great Grandpa Goku makes the odd appearance from other world, if need be). I'm not against them continuing down the path they've gone down, I just think the DB "universe" could do with a shake up, personally.

The idea of doing a complete spin off that eventually merges with the DB Super (or whatever comes next) arc would be pretty impressive.
