I mean, it's gotten to a genuinely creepy extent. They just can't keep their perversion to themselves. I find that they also enjoy fat women more than they used to (There really isn't that much difference between fat women and thick/curvy women. Thick/Curvy are just more respectful synonyms for fat.). I remember when I was a teenager, I wasn't as perverted as some men are today. I also remember in the 2000s that fat women were just a niche preference. Seeing it explode in popularity has made me value women of different body types more.

False. Fat women try to claim being thick/curvy (particularly on dating sites and apps) in an attempt to get more hits, but there is a big difference. Thick/curvy still has the hour glass shape, can be quite fit, but if not fit, not flabby. It basically means big tits, big ass, everything else good. Fat is fat. Rolls all over the place.

So, I asked you to elaborate, but to the thread title...I think it's because it's becoming more and more difficult to land the dream girl. With dating sites and apps very prevalent, the women get tons of messages, whereas the guys will get very little. The woman now has more choice and can afford to be even more picky/choosey. This increases the thirst. Plus, the whole online aspect of not only that, but being on the Internet, in general, where there can be few, if any, consequences for behavior.

I think it's because I just get tired of seeing men on social media private message women with some of the most lustful messages. I mean it's acceptable to do this in the bedroom, but they escalate the situation way too quickly. I'm sure there are other examples, but this is the most extreme one.

I also think the changing spin on women in the media has contributed to a shifting ideal. I've always liked women of all sizes, though not stupidly skinny or insanely fat (Jay is right there, "Thicc" and fat are not the same thing), but the media influences a lot of people in their likes and dislikes. The media used to portray the ideal woman as a stick figure, essentially, and the fashion world still does, so some would view their own ideals as just that. Nowadays, all forms of media show all forms of women, and more and more people are adjusting their likes accordingly. That's why it's more pervasive than before, also the prevalence of social media giving everyone and anyone the chance to voice their views and...desires...means you can't really escape it.

Some men have no filter and think that an online platform means they can behave however they want with no consequence. Those people are morons, and just because the vocal minority are more willing to act on those stupidities, does not mean that is how all men are trending. Some of us still keep our opinions to ourselves or joke about things to have a good time. I do feel bad that women online have to deal with these sorts of dipshits, it's got to suck logging into a website and having some perverted asshole thinking he can say whatever to you or send you a pic of his dick just because you're a woman. I love women that can joke around and have a good time with guy humour and know that it's not intended to be anything more than a good laugh, but I definitely hate it when they're subjected to misogynistic attitudes and pictures from idiots that can't think with anything but their lower brain. Will those morons ever learn? Nope, and it'll only get worse until social media finally buggers off.

Fat is fat. You have rolls and your body is not proportional. Curvy or "thicc" means you have fat but it is in good places and you are still considered to be over-all healthy in spite of carrying extra weight. I only know of one guy who "loves" fat women and he is married to a woman who is nearly 300 pounds. Most men find healthy women attractive be it thin, muscular, thicc.

That aside, I think women are just as much to blame as men are for being so thirsty. Women love the attention on social media and will show off a lot of themselves for a like or share or comment from some weirdo online giving them validation. Men have more to look at than ever before online thanks to this so it is bound to make some of them a bit more perverted than they are irl.

This is so very true. Keyboard warriors, but if they were confronted with a real life woman in the real world, they'd crumble in a heartbeat. "What do I do? Where do I put the credit card?!?"

These are the types that throw money at thots online the most. They just see someone who is attractive and who will talk to them if they give them money. A lot of guys are going to end up very lonely as time goes on but the same can be said for women. The whole normalization of social media and internet relationships has ruined communication skills for a lot of people.

You're not wrong there, those guys who think they're ladies men because they splurge on thots and think that means they like them...they've got no chance in a real relationship. I've not wasted a single penny on a thot, never will, but I've also had shit luck with real relationships, but at least I'll try my hand at the real thing. I'd rather wait and find that right person in real life than waste a fortune on bimbos who don't give two shits about you so long as your money keeps them afloat. If you're lucky they'll show their tits on their OnlyFans that you're paying to see, so that's like love, right?

You're also right that it'll ruin those women who whore themselves out online for money. They'll think that's how they get validation in a real relationship, and it's not. Mutual respect, trust, love, and understanding...you don't get that through social media or cam whoring.

One thing I've noticed is that women (at least in congested areas) are less focused on settling with one person. Now that they have a plethora of men at their fingertips, they are more into poloyamorous relationships or just dating and no commitment.
